CALL FOR NOMINATIONS Board of Directors - Gimli International Film Festival The Gimli International Film Festival (GIFF) is celebrating its 26th anniversary, marking a legacy of bringing people together on the shores of Lake Winnipeg to experience film, storytelling, and community. As Manitobas premier film festival, GIFF showcases bold and diverse cinema while creating a vibrant cultural gathering rooted in connection, creativity, and place. We are currently seeking new members to join our volunteer Board of Directors, with a particular need for a Treasurer. About the Role GIFF is governed by a nonworking Board, focused on strategic planning, oversight, and longterm sustainability. Board members help guide the organizations future, strengthen community connections, and support the continued growth of the festival. Commitment Monthly meetings (810 months of the year), plus occasional committee participation. A board term is three years with a maximum of two consecutive terms. Most meetings are held virtually though the board gathers inperson 13 times per year, including during the festival in July. Who Were Looking For Were looking for thoughtful, engaged, and experienced individuals who care about community, culture, and the future of GIFF to fill the role of Treasurer.
