RWDIs Guelph office is seeking prospective candidates to join the Source team as a Civil Engineering Technologist . This posting represents a currently available permanent full-time role. Key Responsibilities The role includes but is not limited to: Lead field project teams and perform on-site stack testing and source emissions monitoring in accordance with federal and regional regulatory methods (e.g., EPA Reference Methods, ECCC). Plan assigned field deployments, including crew logistics, equipment preparation, and implementation of safety procedures. Analyze collected emissions data and ensure strict adherence to QA/QC protocols throughout testing and reporting. Serve as a technical liaison with clients, regulators, and internal teams to communicate project scope, progress, and findings. Troubleshoot, maintain, and calibrate analytical and sampling equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability. Support project scoping, scheduling, and budgeting in collaboration with project managers and senior leadership. Stay current with evolving environmental regulations and industry best practices. Prepare high-quality technical reports, including regulatory documentation, emissions data summaries, and detailed field observations. Train, mentor, and oversee junior field technicians and new team members on project assignments. Provide guidance, support, and feedback to team members to enhance performance and professional development. Ensure team members complete assigned project-related responsibilities. Assess and address health and safety risks to maintain a safe working environment. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise We are accepting applications from candidates with the following qualifications: At least 5 years of source testing experience Strong computer, analytical and technical hands-on skills An aptitude for practical problem solving Extensive Field/Site experience QSTI certification (or Equivalent) Knowledge of Ontario and US EPA stack testing methods is an asset A valid drivers licence Candidates should also possess: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong people and team skills as well as being highly motivated An ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with no supervision Exceptional organizational capabilities, coordination and consultation skills Willingness to travel and to work long hours, evenings, weekends (including Sundays) The ability to perform manual tasks and be physically fit with the ability to perform heavy lifting. Ability to work on several projects at once and proven ability to successfully meet deadlines Aptitude for attention to detail to ensure a high degree of quality assurance and quality control Please submit your cover letter and resume.
