1675 - Summer Teen Activity Program (Age 15+) > July/August 2026 Erin Meadows Community Centre, Meadowvale Community Centre, Mississauga Valley Community Centre Goal For July and August, Community Living Mississauga invites volunteers aged 15 - 24 who are finishing grade 10 to support teens with an intellectual disability in making the most of all that summer can offer the youth of Mississauga. Description Under the supervision of Community Living Mississauga employees, volunteers may serve a minimum of one week (Monday Friday). Volunteers support youth (ages 13 to 21) as they participate in various recreational activities in the community. Duties include: Support youth to fully participate in activities and community outings. Collaborate as part of the CLM team with employees. Commit to a minimum of one week of service (Monday Friday). Qualifications Minimum Age 15 (must be finishing Grade 10 in June 2025). Maximum Age 25. Passionate about supporting youth in your community who have an intellectual disability. Passionate about inclusion. Solid communication skills that include active listening. Take volunteering commitments seriously and stay consistent with agreed schedules (see Time Commitment ). Available for mandatory training and a virtual interview. If 18 or over, a clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check is required. Provide three references (personal or professional). Time Commitment This is a short term (3 months or less) commitment starting 2026-07-06 and ending 2026-08-28. Shifts available on weekdays: Monday Morning, Monday Afternoon, Tuesday Morning, Tuesday Afternoon, Wednesday Morning, Wednesday Afternoon, Thursday Morning, Thursday Afternoon, Friday Morning, Friday Afternoon. Youth volunteers may volunteer from one week to eight weeks. Training Training is mandatory for this volunteering opportunity. Successful candidates will receive an orientation to Community Living Mississauga and rolerelated training. Scheduling details will be provided during the screening process.
