Position Summary The Territory Sales Lead (TSL) ensures flawless execution of storelevel sales and promotional plans with customer retailers in a highvolume food chain grocer and mass merchandiser territory. The TSL masters retail execution plans by driving incremental sales, implementing and maintaining bestinclass promotional and merchandising strategies, and ensuring 100% distribution on authorized Hershey items across all classes of trade. Responsibilities Drive Customer Points of Sale through Consultative Business Partnering Customer Relationship Development and Management: Build and maintain consultative business relationships with customer Key Decision Makers (KDMs) at all levels. Partner with KDMs to develop and execute a detailed action plan that increases and improves sales results within their stores, leveraging sales analytics and best practices. Cultivate a network of influential contacts to achieve sales objectives and influence merchandising decisions. Data Analysis and Sales Call Preparation: Prepare for retail sales calls by obtaining and analyzing store, product and market data, and creating effective selling tools and presentations. Utilize precall planning methods and other company tools and recommend route modifications to the District Sales Manager to maximize business efficiencies. Sales: Engage in forward selling using consultative sales techniques on predetermined customer sales plans. Maximize sales and display opportunities through store walkthroughs and KDM commitment. Tailor selling and merchandising to influence KDMs to order additional products, increasing incremental sales and securing bestinclass merchandising locations for promotional items. Administrative Responsibilities: Submit electronic and written reports of daily and weekly activities, expenses, competitive activity, account changes, promotions and all administrative functions within the assigned territory using approved methods and technology. Merchandising: Achieve all merchandising objectives by executing customerspecific promotional plans, maintaining permanent secondary displays and other display vehicles, ensuring new items are placed on the shelf, and addressing outofstock situations in every call. Strategy Development & Process Improvement: Develop and recommend strategies to improve overall effectiveness of the territory, district and/or area business activities, and drive advocate partnerships within the assigned category. Requirements Ability to lift up to 30lbs on a repetitive basis. 13years of sales experience with a sound knowledge of sales techniques in consumerpackaged goods (preferred). Knowledge of and ability to develop and use strategies, practices, and tools for communicating with retail customers and managing the daytoday operations of retail stores. Strong analytical, organizational and timemanagement skills. Strong oral and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently within a team environment. Detailoriented with fresh thinking. Takes initiative in pursuing objectives and ensuring deadlines are met. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with iPad technology. Willingness to be part of a highperforming team that works hard and has fun.
