Role Description The Accounting Officer is an entrylevel role that supports the Controller with a range of bookkeeping and accounting functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a strong foundation in accounting while gaining handson experience in a professional setting. This is a fulltime position based in Yellowknife, NT. Key Responsibilities Assist with accounts payable coding and data entry in QuickBooks Manage and reconcile corporate card transactions Maintain and update financial data using Excel and/or Google Sheets Respond to general account inquiries from internal and external stakeholders Follow up with clients regarding outstanding and pastdue invoices Support payroll processing activities Assist with tax filings and audit preparation Maintain organized financial records and ensure proper documentation for compliance Provide backup reception coverage as needed Perform other administrative and accounting duties as required Qualifications Postsecondary education in accounting or pursuit of an accounting designation is preferred Experience with accounts payable (AP) and/or accounts receivable (AR) is an asset Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
