Position Overview We are looking for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to support our Aerospace Research Centre. The incumbent will perform and ensure proper completion of applicable maintenance activities related to aircraft. This includes the installation, inspection, maintenance and repair of aircraft systems (mechanical, electrical, and others). He/she will troubleshoot and rectify applicable aircraft system defects using standard or specialized test equipment as well as ensure aircraft documentation is complete and accurate. The incumbent will also carry out duties as per the appropriate maintenance control manual and ensure conformity to Transport Canada regulatory standards. As required, the incumbent will assist the Aircraft Crew Chief in preparing aircraft for research flight operations, adhere to the Safety Management System Policy, provide training/guidance and oversight of the work of apprentices and accompany FRL aircraft on field deployments as required by operational commitments.
