Overview Comfort Keepers is looking for a Registered Care Aide (RCA) with a car, available for evening and weekend shift in the Vancouver area to join our growing team. We are a leading in-home care provider for seniors and other adults that require a helping hand or companionship in their home. Responsibilities Assisting in the delivery of client care and home support services under the direction of the health care team Assist clients with care, observe, and report significant changes in the clients presentation Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and their caregivers to maximize independence with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) Assist clients with bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, and toileting Assist with household activities including meal prep, grocery shopping, laundry, etc. Motivate, encourage, and involve clients in their care Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients and staff Drive clients in their vehicle to appointments and outings Benefits Competitive Pay Including direct deposit and holiday pay - Starting at $23.00 per hour Paid Training foster growth and development through paid web-based and in-person training Friendly Environment 24-hour support available, a fun team-centric atmosphere Companionship & Friendship Create lasting relationships with seniors and their loved ones Reimbursement Get repaid for client related transportation Flexibility flexible start dates, ability to work near your home Job Requirements Driver''s License and own vehicle is a MUST Genuinely concerned about helping people Access to a mobile phone HCA Certificate and BC Registry Number is a MUST Current First Aid and CPR Training Criminal Record Check Weekend/evening availability is a MUST Our office serves seniors in Vancouver, Burnaby and surrounding communities, including Richmond, Vancouver.
