Accountabilities: How You Will Make an Impact Lead and deliver complex technical work across nuclear new build programs, including licensing, safety, environmental, and engineering scopes Provide owners engineering support to utilities and developers, including design oversight, technical integration, and project execution support Contribute to and lead studies such as: Site screening and site evaluation Environmental and Impact Assessments Hazard assessments Deterministic and probabilistic safety analysis Engineering and design studies (feasibility, conceptual, and detailed support) Technology/vendor evaluations and due diligence Develop licensing strategies, safety cases, and regulatory submissions (e.g., CNSC) Integrate multidisciplinary inputsengineering, environmental, safety, and regulatoryinto cohesive project outcomes Engage with regulators, clients, and stakeholders to support project advancement Mentor junior staff and provide technical leadership across project teams Support business development activities, including proposals, scope definition, and technical planning Other duties as required What You Need to Succeed Degree in Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field (advanced degree is an asset) 8-15+ years of senior experience in the nuclear industry Strong knowledge of the Canadian nuclear regulatory framework; international experience is an asset Experience in one or more of the following: Licensing and regulatory engagement (e.g., CNSC) Nuclear safety analysis and licensing basis development Environmental and impact assessment studies Nuclear plant design and operation Familiarity with advanced and non-water-cooled reactor technologies is an asset Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver complex programs Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder engagement skills Eligibility for (or attainment of) P.Eng. designation This role requires the successful candidate to complete the security clearance process. The security clearance process is conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) and may take up to 12 months to complete.
