Shift: Rotating 12hour shifts. Location: Niagara Falls, Ontario. What Youll Do The Industrial Laboratory Technician supports product quality, process control, and environmental compliance by obtaining, preparing, and analyzing raw materials, inprocess samples, finished products, and environmental water samples. This role conducts physical and chemical testing, investigates outofspecification results, and provides datadriven recommendations to support safe, efficient plant operations. The position works 12hour shifts in a rotating schedule of 36hour and 48hour weeks within a 24/7 continuousoperation environment. Obtain, prepare, and analyze furnace samples, raw materials, finished products, and environmental water samples Conduct physical and chemical testing using established laboratory methods and instrumentation Investigate outofspecification results and communicate findings to operations and quality teams Support the Environmental, Safety & Health Coordinator with sampling, documentation, and compliance tasks Follow detailed test methods, maintain accurate records, and safeguard confidential or classified information Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements related to health, safety, and environmental standards What Youll Need Hold an associate degree in laboratory science, chemical technology, or a closely related field Bring 24 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (preferred but not required) Be able to work 12hour shifts in a 24/7 continuousoperation environment Work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team setting Demonstrate strong organization, attention to detail, and basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office) Compensation Competitive pay Comprehensive medical and dental plans Employersponsored retirement plan Companypaid life insurance Paid vacation and holiday time Washington Mills is committed to employment equity and building a diverse, inclusive, and accessible workplace.
