General Helper This position is safety sensitive and requires a criminal record check. The General Helper position is critical to the success of the culinary team. Working a variety of shifts throughout the day, the General Helper acts as the fuel that keeps the kitchen running smoothly. Kitchen support workers will complete various tasks throughout the day based on their shift schedule and time of day. This posting is not for an active vacancy. Remote Work Lifestyle & Amenities All meals and accommodations are provided Travel is provided to and from site locations from designated locations in Winnipeg, Thompson, Flin Flon and The Pas Private room with cable television Access to WiFi Access to laundry facilities and detergents Access to a gym and common areas Key Responsibilities Maintaining a clean and organized workstation throughout shift, including lunchrooms, dining room, servery, ware wash area, main kitchen and storage areas Regular sweeping and mopping of all floors, including walkin coolers and storage areas Stocking of all needed food, beverage and paper/disposable supplies as required Disposing of all garbage, cardboard and recyclables as required Correctly labeling, dating and rotating all products put out for service Assisting in food production as required Receiving and storing supplies (food, beverages, chemical and paper/disposables) Qualifications Largescale cooking in camp settings, banquet halls and/or hotels is a strong asset Current Food Safe certification is preferred Must be able to successfully pass a Criminal Background Check Ability to commit to a twoweek on/oneweek off rotation A teamplayer who is committed to providing client satisfaction Must have valid governmentissued photo ID for travel to site Ability to handle the following physical demands: lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 lbs; climb ladders or stairs; stand, walk, squat, kneel or sit according to task for extended periods of time; perform repetitive hand work requiring full use of both hands; perform work with arms at full length; work with arms above shoulder height Whats In It for You Enjoy excellent worklife balance with a twoweek on/oneweek off rotation Ability to expand skills in a large camp atmosphere Whereas other companies are downsizing, we are growing! Site locations are in remote settings, requiring either air travel to site or via ground on our shuttle. You may be required to work nights, weekdays, weekends, and general holidays.
