Position Summary Two Hills Fellowship Chapel (THFC) is seeking a Pastor who is called by God to serve faithfully in a small rural community. The Pastor will provide spiritual leadership to the congregation through preaching, teaching, pastoral care, and community engagement. This role emphasizes relational ministry, outreach within the local community, and shepherding the flock through regular visitation, prayer, and discipleship. The Pastor of the Two Hills Fellowship Chapel works in partnership with church leadership (in the form of the Elders Board) and the congregation to nurture spiritual growth, proclaim the Gospel, and represent Christ within the community of Two Hills and surrounding area. Position Details Position: Full-time Pastor Location: Two Hills, Alberta Accountability: Reports to church board and the congregation membership Part of the Associated Gospel Churches (AGC) of Canada Organization Spiritual and Personal Qualifications A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a sense of Gods calling to pastoral ministry. A growing, disciplined spiritual life marked by prayer, integrity, humility, and love for people. A shepherds heart with a genuine desire to know and care for people personally. Education and Experience Biblical or theological training from a recognized Bible college or seminary (preferred). Experience in pastoral ministry, preaching, teaching, and congregational care (preferred). Willingness to serve in the unique context of a small rural church. Skills and Abilities Strong communication skills in preaching, teaching, and interpersonal relationships. Ability to relate well to people of all ages and life stages. Selfmotivated, adaptable, and able to work independently and collaboratively. Comfortable with relational, handson ministry in a closeknit community. Key Responsibilities 1. Preaching and Teaching (45%) Prepare and deliver biblically faithful, Christcentered sermons. Teach Scripture in a way that is understandable, relevant, and applicable to daily life. Provide leadership in Bible studies, small groups, and other teaching settings as appropriate. Uphold sound doctrine in alignment with the beliefs of Two Hills Fellowship Chapel and the Associated Gospel Churches (AGC). 2. Pastoral Care and Shepherding (15%) Care for the spiritual, emotional, and practical needs of the congregation. Maintain regular personal contact with members and adherents, including home, hospital, and seniors carefacility visitation. Offer prayer, counsel, encouragement, and biblical guidance during times of joy, crisis, illness, and grief. Conduct weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other pastoral services as needed. 3. Community Involvement and Outreach (10%) Be an active and visible presence in the community of Two Hills. Build relationships with community members, local organizations, and other churches. Encourage and participate in outreach efforts that share the Gospel and demonstrate Christs love. Support and equip the congregation to engage in personal and corporate outreach. 4. Leadership and Church Life (15%) Provide spiritual leadership and vision in collaboration with church leadership. Support and encourage volunteers and ministry leaders. Participate in planning and leading worship services and special events. Promote unity, humility, and mutual care within the church body. 5. Denominational Relationship (5%) Maintain good standing with the Associated Gospel Churches (AGC). Participate in AGC credentialling, regional meetings, and accountability structures as required. Support the mission and values of the AGC while serving the local congregation. 6. Personal Development (10%) Participate in regular and focused Spiritual development and ongoing pursuit of growing deeper in the word and building a stronger personal relationship with God. Engage in regular professional development to ensure commitment and competence in the performance of all required tasks.
