Carecor is looking for dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses (medical/surgical) nurses who are residing in the Halifax Regional Municipality and surrounding area hospitals to join our amazing team. Under the direction of the facility charge nurse or registered nurse, you will provide care according to Nova Scotia College of Nursing, the Standards of Practice of Carecor, and the healthcare facility where assigned helping foster an environment of optimal physical, social, and emotional wellbeing for patients. For each assignment you will be in one facility for a full 812hour shift. This is a casual to fulltime position with flexible shifts. Qualifications Applicants require a Registered Nurse (RN) practicing license that is current, active, and in good standing with their respective provincial College. Transfer of an active practicing license will be required with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing. Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience, preferably in medicine/surgical floors. Must have 2 years of hospital experience. Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, and hepatitis B. Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one (1) year or negative chest xray within the past five (5) years. Current BCLS-HCP (HealthCare Provider) and Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate. Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire. Flexible to work occasional shifts that are considered urgent/lastminute/early morning. Please note that, based on recent government mandates and directives, healthcare workers are now required to provide proof of full COVID19 vaccination. If successful, new hires will be required to provide proof of vaccination prior to their start date.
