GE Appliances Canada, a Mabe company, is seeking an Area Sales Manager based in Vancouver, BC. MUST CURRENTLY RESIDE IN VANCOUVER, BC, TO BE CONSIDERED. This role offers the opportunity for remote work but requires on-site client visits for daily basics and occasional work outside normal business hours, including evenings and weekends. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage the Builder/Commercial channel portfolio inclusive of managing current customers and prospecting for new business. Assess the individual territory and create an annual business plan in conjunction with understanding the needs and strategy for the distributors. Manage positive customer/end user relationships by addressing issues, providing customer contacts, and facilitating distributor relationships with the product support and service team. Design presentations and conduct training for external clients, which may include buyers, builder sales associates and the commercial or residential builders. Negotiate contracts and liaise with internal and external stakeholders. The region consists of, but is not exclusive to, Vancouver, BC. Qualifications University/College graduate in business/marketing or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in consumer durable goods. Home appliance industry or building supply industry knowledge is preferred. Assertive, resultsdriven individual who works well in a team and on their own. Shows initiative, stamina and perseverance with an entrepreneurial spirit. Excellent selling and solid negotiation skills. Possess strong computer and analytical skills; SAP knowledge is an asset. CRM experience ideally within Salesforce is an asset. Strong business acumen and understanding of key financial measurements. Strong interpersonal, exceptional customer relation and networking skills. Ability and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory (overnight travel as needed).
