Position Overview The Studio Night Lead provides a dual role, supporting the Studio Manager and the overall department from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM EST while identifying, prioritizing, and contributing to the execution of the afterhours workload from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM EST and later as needed. The Night Lead is responsible for the ongoing performance, productivity, and continuity of the department during the night shift while maintaining the consistent execution of highquality print and digital deliverables across brands. The Night Lead is inherently a team player with a solutionsoriented mindset to ensure seamless management and communication across teams. The Night Lead partners closely with Creative, Print Production, Account, and Project Management teams to support the execution of print and digital materials. This role contributes directly to production work while also guiding the Studio team to ensure files are built accurately, brand standards are maintained, and projects move efficiently through the production process. A solutionsoriented mindset and clear communication are essential to maintaining momentum during highvolume evening production periods. Acting as both a department lead and handson Creative Production Artist, the Night Lead bridges creative intent and production execution by ensuring brand consistency, regulatory compliance, and flawless delivery across all assets. The role ensures work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with regulatory and brand requirements while reinforcing collaboration across departments to deliver highquality deliverables within a fastpaced, regulated pharmaceutical and medical education environment. This role reports to the Studio Manager (SM). Competency Enforce brand guidelines to ensure visual and tonal consistency across all deliverables. Demonstrate deep expertise in both print and digital production, including file preparation, layout design, mechanical builds, and typography. Serve as a handson Creative Production Artist by executing complex mechanicals, refining layouts, and ensuring all assets meet client and FDA/OPDP standards. Partner with crossfunctional teams to ensure creative and technical alignment on deliverables, timelines, and regulatory expectations. Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat). Working knowledge of XD, Figma, SharePoint, Ziflow is preferred. Production & Execution Contribute to daily and nightly execution of Studio work (Print and Digital), including mechanical builds, prepress setup, QC, final file delivery, and version updates. Translate approved creative concepts into precise, productionready files for both print and digital campaigns while acting as the senior production artist during critical deadlines or offhours. Support multiple therapeutic brands and audience segments such as HCP, patient, caregiver, and payer. Coordinate with Print Production for specifications, dielines, and release preparation. Lead the nightly 5:15 PM meeting to assign, monitor, and execute project deliverables, secure support, and elevate issues as needed. Prepare nightly status reports for Studio management to ensure shifttoshift continuity and transparency. Perform handson updates, resizing, and mechanical refinements while maintaining compliance with brand, regulatory, and MLR standards. Attend IKOM and Prepro meetings as needed to represent Studio interests. Provide guidance and QC for production artists work to ensure precision, efficiency, and brand integrity before final submission. Maintain a detailed understanding of workflows, routing systems, and version control processes. Time Management Review, prioritize, and assign incoming work based on project deadlines, client needs, and team capacity. Balance leadership duties with handson production by actively contributing to or refining creative files. Triage work requests during the night shift, ensuring quick turnaround while maintaining accuracy. Communicate resourcing needs and workflow bottlenecks to the Sr. Director, Studio in real time. Collaborate with the Sr. Director and Studio Manager to plan for workload surges around launches and congresses, proactively adjusting staffing and production schedules. Organization Maintain Studio server organization and enforce proper file naming, archiving, and storage conventions. Ensure consistent version control and seamless file accessibility between day and night teams. Drive adherence to workflow processes to minimize risk and rework. Problem Solving / Judgment Make sound decisions under pressure and adjust priorities as deadlines shift. Collaborate with Studio leadership to identify, propose, and implement process improvements. Serve as the key point of contact and problem solver during the night shift, ensuring smooth crossshift collaboration. Evaluate and troubleshoot production challenges including color inconsistencies, layout conflicts, and digital rendering issues while applying both creative and technical problemsolving skills. Build strong working relationships with all team members through clear, respectful communication. Provide mentorship and realtime feedback to production artists to foster skill development and encourage a culture of excellence and accountability. Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree (Communications, Graphic Design, or related creative field preferred) 58+ years of experience in creative production or Studio operations, preferably within advertising, medical communications, or healthcare marketing Proven experience leading design and production workflows independently Expertise in print and digital production, with strong understanding of prepress, mechanicals, responsive design, and asset delivery Strong foundation in creative production artistry and the ability to execute, review, and optimize deliverables while maintaining compliance and brand consistency Exceptionally organized, detailoriented, and collaborative; excellent communicator and critical thinker Ability to manage highvolume workloads in fastpaced, deadlinedriven settings Willingness to work evening hours regularly; flexibility for weekend or launchrelated work as required Commitment to quality, precision, and continuous improvement within regulated creative environments Salary Range: $100,000-$120,000 CAD BGB Group is an equal opportunity employer.
