Job Description Posted Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 4:00 AM Role At a Glance As a member of the Structural team, this position is responsible for delivering structural field engineering support on a construction project site. You will work full-time onsite, providing day-to-day structural input during construction, coordinating with the contractor and other disciplines, and helping ensure work is completed safely, to specification, and to a high standard of quality. This role provides the opportunity to develop your technical and business skillset, and requires a commitment to providing clients with practical, creative solutions. This is a full-time 12-month contract , project sitebased role in the London/St. Thomas area. What You Will Do Provide fulltime onsite structural field engineering support, including site observations, coordination with the contractor, and daytoday resolution of construction issues. Review structural work for conformance with drawings and specifications, identify deficiencies, support corrective actions, and document findings in site reports. Coordinate and respond to field questions (e.g., RFIs), communicate site conditions to the structural design team, and assist with review of shop drawings, field changes, and asbuilt information as required. Perform ongoing site presence and inspections for structural elements (including reinforcing, formwork, steel, and concrete placement as applicable) and verify key hold points are met throughout construction. Work directly with the client, contractor, and project stakeholders onsite to support schedule, quality, and constructability objectives and to help resolve issues quickly and professionally. Primary assignment is fulltime on the project site; occasional travel within Canada may be required for additional site support. What You Bring to the Table Bachelors degree in engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering, masters degree in Structural Engineering is preferred. Licensed as Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) PEO. Minimum of 5 years'' experience in structural consulting. Experience with design of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures, seismic design and building codes. Experience with structural design software (such as ETABS, SAP, SAFE, RISA, Revit). Strong working knowledge of building systems and other building disciplines and how they interact with structures. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to work with people at all levels including project stakeholders and clients. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and deliverables on an ongoing basis. A commitment to providing exceptional client service and delivering practical, creative solutions.
