Job Description We are searching for a FullTime Seniors Wellness Coordinator to join our Nursing Home Without Walls team in Fredericton, New Brunswick (northside). This temporary position is offered for one year, with the potential to extend based on program needs. Conduct comprehensive therapeutic recreation assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and/or Substitute Decision Makers. Deliver therapeutic recreation interventions in individual and group settings, adapting programs to meet changing health status and responsive behaviours. Collaborate with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to meet program goals, expectations, and needs. Build respectful, professional relationships with clients and families that promote independence, choice, privacy, and the right to refuse services. Prepare, organize, and maintain recreation spaces, equipment, and supplies while motivating and facilitating client participation and community involvement. Complete accurate documentation, evaluations, and participation records, and use data to support program development and continuous improvement. Support a strong culture of safety by following all standard operating procedures, safe work practices, and contributing to a safe environment for clients, staff, volunteers, and students. About You In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring: Relevant education and experience Availability to work Monday Friday Ability to travel to residents homes as required Proficiency in English; French considered a strong asset Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check available upon hire Current First Aid & CPR certification Strong assessment, planning, and facilitation skills Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation abilities Ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, volunteers, students, and interdisciplinary teams Commitment to clientcentered, respectful, and culturally sensitive care Demonstrated ability to adapt programs to changing client needs and behaviours A passion for the healthcare sector and for ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.
