AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER CREW CHIEF Location: Winnipeg, MB, 958 Ferry Rd, Winnipeg, MB R3H 0Y8, Canada. Status: Full time. Start date: Immediately. Responsibilities Direct maintenance staff during inspections, repairs, replacements, and rectifications to ensure efficient use of manpower. Ensure tasks are signed for upon completion. Carry out Quality Assurance functions as directed by the VP Quality & Safety. Ensure proper handover of full details for work in progress to the succeeding shift. Communicate all completed or outstanding maintenance with the Base Engineer. Assist and support all policies and procedures related to the Calm Air SMS Program, including the Safety Management Manual, CAV1001. Ensure crew follows all safe working practices. Perform other duties as assigned. Shift Hours Shift work required; may include mornings/afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Qualifications Valid security clearances and the ability to obtain and maintain an Enhanced Security Clearance qualification. Previous leadership/supervisory experience required. High school diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited aviation program. ATR 42/72 endorsement required. Boeing737 and Airbus experience required. Knowledge of airline operations is an asset. Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Valid drivers license. Ability to lift 75 lbs (34 kg). Inuktitut and/or Inuinnaqtun language knowledge is an asset. Preference given to Inuit Land Claims Beneficiaries. Benefits Registered Pension Plan starting at 5% matched after one year of employment.
