We are currently seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team and help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and service. Role Overview The Housekeeping Supervisor ensures that guest rooms, public areas, and service spaces meet the hotels cleanliness and maintenance standards. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, inspecting rooms, coordinating daily operations, and supporting team development while delivering outstanding guest experiences. Responsibilities Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and service spaces to ensure they meet hotel cleanliness, maintenance, and brand standards. Staff Supervision: Lead, coach, and motivate housekeeping staff including room attendants. Provide training, performance feedback, and conduct performance reviews to maintain high service standards. Operations & Logistics: Prepare daily housekeeping assignments and project plans, manage inventory of cleaning supplies and linens, and ensure housekeeping equipment and machines are in proper working order. Guest Service: Provide friendly, welcoming service to internal and external guests. Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and complaints to ensure a positive experience. Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborate with maintenance and other hotel departments to address repairs, preventative maintenance, and operational needs to ensure seamless guest experiences. Administrative Tasks: Assist with scheduling staff, completing timecards, monitoring labour costs, and supporting departmental goals and financial targets. Safety & Compliance: Support company policies and procedures including employee engagement initiatives, health and safety standards, and compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). Team Development: Assist with recruitment, training, and development of housekeeping colleagues while promoting a positive and inclusive work environment. Requirements Experience: Previous hotel housekeeping experience required; prior supervisory or leadership experience in housekeeping strongly preferred. Education: Hotel Management, Hospitality & Tourism diploma/degree is considered an asset. Technical Skills: Knowledge of Property Management Systems such as Opera PMS, WebRezPro, or similar systems, as well as Microsoft Office and Outlook. Skills: Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability to motivate a team and maintain high standards. Flexibility: Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours based on operational needs. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods of time. Ability to lift, push, or assist in moving heavy housekeeping equipment or supplies as required.
