The position will collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, and coordinate services and support in consultation with individuals and partnering programs. Qualifications Relevant college or university accreditation and/or relevant work experience in the area of training, development, and employment services. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the area of employment and training initiatives. Demonstrated understanding of Indigenous Skills and Employment Training Strategy (ISETS) and current trends in local labour market. Knowledge of Indigenous culture and experience working with Indigenous persons; understanding of the northern cultural environment; knowledge of an Indigenous language(s) will be considered an asset. Ability to develop intervention contracts, business plans (annual funding submission) and related documents. Excellent finance skills and attention to detail; accounting experience considered an asset. Ability to engage people to build trust and rapport; effective verbal and listening communication skills. Ability to plan, coordinate and implement learning pathways and interventions. Excellent public relations skills and thorough knowledge of community resources. Group facilitation, team building and decision-making skills; ability to problem solve and take initiative. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent case and file management skills, stress management and time management skills, ability to meet deadlines. Effective crisis intervention skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including database applications. Selfmotivated individual with ability to work with minimal supervision in a teamoriented setting. Ability to work flexible hours, including evening and/or weekends. A clear criminal reference check (CPIC) and Vulnerable Sector Clearance is a condition of employment.
