The Coordinator, Organizational Health and Safety is responsible and accountable for surveillance, education and consultation in accordance with current standards of practice. The coordinator will work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations, as well as the Infection Prevention and Control protocols, MOHLTC directives and current public health practices. This role works in collaboration with the People & Culture team, supporting confidential employee matters. Primary Responsibilities New hire health assessments Provides confidential support to Leadership and staff Wellness initiatives and health promotion First aid and accident follow up Immunization and Communicable disease surveillance programs Counselling and referral services Mask Fit testing Health teaching and promotion Violence training communication and tracking Coordinates and supports employees in the completion and submission of Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) forms and Long-Term Disability (LTD) applications, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and organizational policies Practicing in the specialty of Occupational Health & Safety, the Coordinator, Organizational Health and Safety encompasses the promotion, maintenance and restoration of health and the prevention of illness and injury. They will closely with other interdisciplary teams such as People and Culture.
