Location Hybrid role focused primarily on regular travel to Manroc project sites across Northwestern Ontario and other operating regions, with time in Manrocs head office in Manitouwadge and flexibility to work from home. The structure of the role will be built to suit the right candidate while meeting operational needs. The Role This is a senior technical and operational leadership role focused on overseeing Manrocs Alimak / raise mining operations across multiple client sites. Reporting to the Operations Manager and General Manager, this role is intended to strengthen Manrocs raise mining program by helping manage site issues, support superintendents and raise supervisors, strengthen client relationships, and improve coordination across projects. This role will lead Alimak standards, support planning and execution, improve manpower and equipment readiness, and help ensure Manroc is set up for long-term success in raise mining. Key Responsibilities Ensure raise mining work is executed safely and in line with Manrocs standards, with a strong focus on hazard awareness, field leadership, and crew accountability. Support raise supervisors, superintendents, and crews with planning, troubleshooting, and field execution. Coordinate manpower, equipment, consumables, and raise-specific resources to support efficient execution. Support project planning, raise sequencing, and client coordination on active and upcoming work. Identify and implement practical improvements to raise mining methods, systems, and standards. Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication, technical support, and dependable execution. Support equipment readiness and maintenance planning for Alimak fleets and related gear. Help develop and improve training programs for raise miners, drillers, blasters, and raise supervisors. Mentor field leaders and support workforce development across raise mining teams. Support day-to-day coordination, reporting, logistics, and follow-through using email, Microsoft Office, and Manrocs operating systems. Contribute to future raise mining growth opportunities and operational planning. What Were Looking For Extensive underground hard rock mining experience with strong raise mining / Alimak expertise. Demonstrated progression into leadership or technical support roles in underground raise mining environments. Strong practical knowledge of raise development methods, safety procedures, and underground operations. Proven ability to support crews, supervisors, and clients in live operating conditions. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in the field. A steady, respected field leader who can earn trust quickly, solve problems, and help strengthen teams. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with crews, clients, and leadership. Comfortable with regular travel and consistent field presence as a core part of the role. Comfortable using email, Microsoft Office, and company systems to support coordination and follow-through.
