We are looking for an experienced Tableau Developer to join our data analytics and business intelligence team. This role focuses on transforming complex financial data into actionable insights that support strategic decisionmaking. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain advanced dashboards and data visualizations in a fastpaced financial services environment. Job Title Tableau Developer (SQL & Data Analytics) Location Halifax: 4 Days WFO Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau Translate complex data into meaningful visual insights for business stakeholders Collaborate with business analysts, finance teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements Optimize dashboards for performance, scalability, and user experience Troubleshoot data and reporting issues and ensure data accuracy Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries across multiple data sources Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks Provide training and support to end users on dashboards and reporting tools Maintain proper documentation and follow development best practices Contribute to version control and development workflows Required Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of experience in Tableau development Strong expertise in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server Advanced SQL skills with experience in: SQL Server Oracle or other relational/cloud databases Experience building productiongrade dashboards and reports Solid understanding of financial concepts , including: Financial metrics Basic accounting principles Risk management frameworks Regulatory reporting (banking/finance domain) Strong analytical and problemsolving skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience with Power BI (Power Query, DAX, report publishing) Familiarity with data modeling and ETL processes Experience with tools such as: DataStage Airflow Knowledge of Python for data analysis and manipulation Background in banking, capital markets, or financial services Relevant certifications such as: Tableau Desktop Specialist Microsoft Certified Data Analyst Technical Competencies Strong expertise in Tableau: Calculated fields Table calculations Parameters Advanced SQL query writing and optimization Knowledge of data warehousing concepts Experience with: Dimensional modeling Star schema design Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel : Pivot Tables VLOOKUP Data analysis functions Additional Information Opportunity to work on highimpact financial data projects Collaborative and fastpaced work environment Focus on datadriven decisionmaking and innovation #J-18808-Ljbffr
