Assistant / Associate / Full Professor - Academic Interventional Radiologist - St. Michael''s Hospital Position Overview The Departments of Medical Imaging at St. Michaels Hospital (SMH) and the University of Toronto are recruiting a fulltime, fellowshiptrained, academic Interventional Radiologist. The successful candidate will be assigned an academic position based on teaching or research strengths and must be eligible for a fulltime clinical academic appointment at the rank of Assistant / Associate / Full Professor. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2026. In this role the successful candidate will perform all types of vascular and nonvascular Interventional Radiology procedures, and will participate fully in the supervision, processing and interpretation of all vascular CT and MRI studies. The position includes a significant opportunity for advancement in clinical leadership and research in IR, both at the University of Toronto and at SMH. Responsibilities Perform all types of vascular and nonvascular Interventional Radiology procedures. Supervise, process and interpret all vascular CT and MRI studies. Optionally interpret all other diagnostic radiology studies (Xray, ultrasound, CT, MRI). Participate in the acute oncall roster covering Interventional Radiology. Contribute to radiology resident rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings/rounds. Supervise trainees at undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels, including the dedicated clinical IR fellowship program at SMH each year. Qualifications MD or equivalent. Completed residency training in Diagnostic Radiology and fellowship training in Interventional Radiology, or an accredited Interventional Radiology residency. Preference given to Interventional Radiologists with additional diagnostic radiology fellowship training, particularly in Abdominal Imaging. Procedural experience in interventional oncology, innovative interventions for pain management, pulmonary AVM embolization and/or transperineal prostate biopsy is an asset. Additional experience or training in reporting chest CT and spine MRI/CT is an asset. Evidence of excellence in teaching and/or research required. Eligibility for medical licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Ontario and for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or comparable qualifications.
