Job Overview Cummins is hiring a Field Service Diesel Technician for a mining site in Northern Ontario. The position is 14x14 rotation with day and night shifts, camp based on the Rainy River Mine. This role includes travel from Winnipeg to Rainy River and the first week of onboarding in Fort McMurray. Key Responsibilities Engage customers courteously and professionally. Anticipate and respond quickly to customer needs. Use specialized tools and follow documented procedures to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, identify and prepare required parts and tools. Perform preventative maintenance activities per documented schedules and standards on engines and related components in the field. Complete required documentation (service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents) via handwritten forms or business system input screens. Identify additional service opportunities with customers. Maintain service vehicle and tools in clean condition and proper operation. Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, reporting any issues/incidents to site management and supervisors. Qualifications Heavy Duty Mechanics certification or 421A journeyman certification. Valid local driver''s license. Clean 5year driver''s abstract. Field service work experience. Intermediate level knowledge of engine products (Aftertreatment, engine repairs, engine swap). Customer service experience. Timeclocked background check, criminal background check, and clean driving abstract. About The Role Safety sensitive position. 14x14rotation day and night shifts. Camp based. Flights to/from Winnipeg covered by Cummins. Travel provided from Winnipeg, MB to Rainy River, ON. Meal and travel allowance provided. Random drug and alcohol testing on site. FIT test required. Hourly wages $52.00/hour (up to $58.00/day shift and $61.00/night shift). Overtime includes minimum 8hours of OT per 14 days.
