SLB is currently seeking a dedicated, mechanically inclined, and detailoriented individual to join our team as a Field Engineer Trainee . In this role, you will work directly at rig sites supporting Measurement While Drilling (MWD) services, collaborating closely with operations, engineers, and support teams while interacting with clients at the wellsite to ensure safe, efficient, and highquality service delivery. You will participate in a structured training program designed to build technical competency and operational readiness, and will be expected to learn quickly, take on increasing responsibility, and contribute meaningfully as your experience grows. Roles And Responsibilities Perform field operations at the rig site, supporting well measurement services and being accountable for safe and efficient wellsite performance as training progresses. Operate field equipment in accordance with SLB standards, procedures, and service quality requirements. Monitor wellsite operations in real time to ensure accurate data delivery and reliable service execution. Support job planning, execution, and operational reporting for field activities. Work closely with engineers, and operations teams to support onsite activities and job risk analysis. Prepare wellsite reports, service quality documentation, and postjob debriefings. Interact directly with customers at the wellsite and build strong working relationships through effective communication and technical support. Participate actively in HSE, Quality, and continuous improvement initiatives while working collaboratively as part of a field crew. Qualifications And Experience Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, petroleum engineering, electrical engineering, or a related engineering discipline, graduated within the last three years. Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in handson field work in drilling environments. Excellent communication skills verbal and written. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Valid Class 5 drivers license with a clean driving record and ability to drive an SLB vehicle. Ability to legally work and reside in Canada without company sponsorship.
