Bayshore Medical Personnel is excited to announce a full-time contract opportunity for a Registered Practical Nurse to join our team in Petawawa, ON! We''re looking for dedicated professionals to make a meaningful impact in Military Health Services Duties And Responsibilities The successful applicant will provide direct patient care under the direction of physicians, Registered Nurses, and/or other healthcare providers. Responsibilities Could Include, But Are Not Limited To COVID screening prior to patients entering the clinic; assistance with vaccinations; conducting patient history and physical assessments; performing selected diagnostic and therapeutic interventions; and counseling patients on preventive health care. Qualifications The LPN/RPN shall possess, as a minimum, one (1) full-time equivalent year of experience within the last 3 years in nursing practice conducting patient assessments and providing direct nursing care for a broad range of diseases in the adult population in a primary care or ambulatory care setting. Skills And Qualifications All LPN/RPNs must, as a minimum, have: Graduated from a Practical Nursing Program approved by Council of the College of Nurses; Current and valid license from the provincial or territorial professional college or association in the province of practice; and Certificate of Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent such as Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator (CPR/AED) Level C.
