Purpose of Position The EHS Coordinator is responsible for implementing and completing EHS initiatives in a production environment. This role requires a high level of understanding of OSHA Guidelines, general safety requirements and Globally Harmonized Safety Data Sheets. Teamwork and communication skills are essential as the position requires close interaction with the EHS, manufacturing and quality teams to ensure all issues are communicated and resolved in a timely manner. The ideal candidate should be selfmotivated, able to handle multiple project assignments and willing to learn and adapt within a fastpaced organization. Occasional travel may be required, less than 10%. Essential Functions Maintain and complete routine safety inspections (fire extinguishers, cranes, emergency eye wash stations/showers, forklift, etc.), including required electronic checklists, tracking audit findings, responses and audit closeouts. Complete JSAs and PPE assessments for new equipment and processes. Deliver training to employees including EHS new hire orientation. Maintain and update facility emergency maps and emergency response plans. Be responsible for safety shoe voucher program and organization. Support facility leaders with incident investigations and ensure incident management system is current. Communicate consistently and effectively to all crossfunctional team members where needed to ensure EHS improvements and changes are understood, and questions are answered to move projects forward. Assist EHS leaders with completion of administrative tasks and record retention. Execute EHS initiatives at facility level with support from EHS leadership. Maintain chemical inventory database that crossreferences GHS Safety Data Sheets, ensuring each SDS is current, approved within the system and accessible to all employees. Perform other related duties as assigned. Competencies Organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking. Thoroughness. Working knowledge of OSHA and other regulatory agencies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel. Ability to recognize and recommend solutions to streamline processes with the end user in mind. Capability to navigate conflict professionally and work toward resolution and know when to seek support. Capability to present information effectively to diverse audiences. Ability to role model high standards of professionalism. Must be driven and selfmotivated with excellent followthrough. Must possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to excellent work quality. Ability to manage complex projects. Education and Experience Degree (Associate''s and Above); preferred focus in environmental health and safety is preferred; related years of experience will also be considered in lieu of a degree. EHS internship or coop experience is a plus. 02 years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of data collection, record keeping and statistics a plus.
