About The Role Reports to the Accounts Payable & Accounting Supervisor for AP related tasks and to the Assistant Controller for Accounting duties. This role involve working closely with both the AP and Accounting Teams to ensure all month end deadlines are met. Duties are responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Accounts Payable (70%) Assist the AP Supervisor to review and verify invoices and POs when necessary; Reviewing discrepancies with AI generated PO matching; Sort, and match invoices with PO related receipts to the Power BI module/SAP CIM module Code on manual non-PO related invoices; Assist AP Supervisor to prepare and perform cheque runs; Assist the AP Supervisor to perform cheque/ACH payments; Review monthly Statement of Account clearing with key vendors; Assist AP Supervisor to monitor accounts for discount opportunities and to ensure payments are up to date; Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues; Produce monthly reports and semi-monthly reports along with credit terms; Reconcile receipts using AI technologies. Support the AP Administrators with month-end closing; Review vendors spend by month; Assist and process installer invoice batches; Provide analytical lens and prepare reconciliations for key vendors to assist in correct month end accruals; and Assist with any other tasks assigned by the AP supervisor. Accounting (30%) Prepare month end entries like payroll, WSIB, Beneplan, Visa and any other recurring entries; Prepare weekly bank reconciliation for all entities; Prepare weekly credit card reconciliation for all entities; Prepare and maintain robust petty cash reconciliation; Prepare detailed monthly accounting schedules like prepaid expenses, prepaid insurance, rent obligation, vacation pay payable, interest schedules etc.; and Assist with any other tasks assigned by the Assistant Controller. Requirements & Qualifications Education Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Finance. Years of Experience 1-2+ years of Accounts Payable and/or Accounting experience is required. Work Location Work environment requires wearing PPE for all site work and in certain other location; May require driving a Company Vehicle in the event a cheque needs to be pricked up from a client or cheques need to be deposited at the bank; and Flexible to work overtime as required.
