We are looking for a handson, experienced Superintendent, Aggregate to lead our southern Alberta pits and crushing operations with a focus on safety, production, and team leadership. If you excel at running efficient aggregate operations, developing people, and keeping production on track, this role is for you. As the Superintendent, Aggregate, you will oversee daytoday operations across multiple pits and crushing sites. Youll work closely with foremen, operators, suppliers, and customers to ensure safe, efficient, and high quality production. How We Make It Count Operational Leadership Lead and manage aggregate pit and crushing operations across multiple sites. Meet production targets whilemaintaininghigh quality and efficiency. Coordinate with sales, operations, land management, materials testing, and environmental teams. Ensure compliance with all aggregate specifications andVolker Stevinquality standards. Manage reclamation planning and regulatory requirements. Materials Inventory management and reporting Ensure all relatable equipment to aggregate processing ismaintainedand accounted for in line with productionrequirements People & Performance Lead, coach, and supportforemenand field crews. Oversee scheduling, onboarding, task assignment, and performance management. Support hiring for pit and crushing teams in collaboration with People & Culture. Process & Cost Management Identifyand resolve operational issues in real time. Oversee inventory, equipmentutilization, and site costs. Support budgeting, reporting, and forecasting to drive profitability. Safety Leadership Model and champion a strong safety culture at all times . Conduct frequent site visits and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental protocols. Partner with Safety Resource Officers when needed. Customer & Stakeholder Relations Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams. Ensure work meets contract expectations for quality, timelines, and budget. Identifyopportunities to support client needs and future work. What you Bring 10+ years experience in heavy civil construction, mining, or aggregate crushing. Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, coach, and motivate teams. Experience with crushing operations, production planning, and inventory management . Solid understanding of site costing and financial performance . Reclamation and landuse planning experience is an asset. CET, P.Eng., or a combination of equivalent education and experience is considered. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). Commitment to safety excellence.
