Signup Bonuses: $2,000 Signing Bonus + $5,000 Retention Bonus (6 months) CCPN incentive: $25,000 incentive to eligible nurses with a 24month commitment (Health Force Ontario) Your Role As an NSWOC with VON, you will provide comprehensive wound assessments, ostomy care, and continence management at clients homes or clinics, working closely with an interdisciplinary team to create personalized care plans that promote healing, comfort, and improved quality of life. Improve Client Care Planning and Continuity: assess and educate clients and their families, implement outcomedirected codesigned care plans, and incorporate education, counselling, and discharge planning as needed. Enhance Your Clinical Expertise: support specialized, progressive treatment modalities and case management, following established nursing principles that have demonstrated optimal wound and ostomy management and improved outcomes. Empower Your Clients and Families: use adult learning principles and evidencebased teaching materials to educate clients and families, empowering them to make informed health decisions. Work within a multidisciplinary team: act as a clinical resource and mentor other care providers, staff, and students, promoting interprofessional collaboration and improving clinical capacity. Collaborate with Peers: work autonomously, but not alone. NSWOCs across the province meet virtually every week to discuss hard cases or uncommon experiences. Individuals are required to walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day, with some tasks requiring fine hand movements.
