Job Overview Fulltime, permanent, inoffice position in downtown Vancouver. This role blends administration, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management for the companys residential property management function. Responsibilities Set up new tenants, maintain lease and tenant information in Spectra Property Management Software. Maintain tenant ledgers, post miscellaneous charges as instructed and reply to inquiries promptly. Process tenant moveouts and issue security deposit cheques within specified time frame. Prepare and process monthly tenant PreAuthorized Debit payments. Process rent increases. Review and ensure accuracy of monthly rent rolls. Assist other team members with ad hoc administrative tasks. Relieve front desk when needed. Work closely with the Property Manager and Resident Caretakers. Process and maintain the full cycle of accounts payable for various entities. Process vendor invoices with high level of accuracy. Conduct GL expense coding and identify any potential issues. Process cheque runs and electronic payments. Reconcile vendor statements and communicate with vendors to resolve any discrepancies. Process employee expense reimbursement requests. Process full cycle of accounts receivable for all rental properties. Process rental and other charges in the Property Management software. Apply payments for rent and other charges with high accuracy. Reconcile monthly rents and communicate with Resident Caretakers for any issues or discrepancies. Prepare monthly A/R statements for all rental properties. Follow up with building managers for returned payments due to NSF. Assist with monthend closing and preparation of financial statements and management reports. Prepare journal entries for multiple entities. Assist with treasury functions including online banking, bank deposits, and cash balance monitoring. Work collaboratively with the Controller to assist with annual budget preparation and yearend working papers for the external audit. Qualifications At least 2 years of relevant experience in accounting & administration for residential property management. Postsecondary education related to accounting preferred. Experience with property accounting software (Yardi, Timberline, or Spectra). Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word. Strong attention to detail and high level of organization. Clear written and verbal communication. Selfstarter able to adapt and problemsolve with minimal supervision. Strong sense of ownership and accountability with a humble work ethic. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently or collaboratively within a team environment. Benefits Salary range of $60,000 $70,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
