Plant Manager Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) Location: Greater Napanee, ON (OnSite) We are currently seeking a Plant Manager for our client, a leading North American organization operating at the forefront of environmental and sustainability solutions. This highimpact leadership role is responsible for full operational ownership of a highvolume Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) and will drive performance across safety, efficiency, cost control, and team leadership in a fastpaced, industrial environment. Position Overview Reporting to senior operations leadership, the Plant Manager is accountable for endtoend facility performance, including inbound/outbound flow, processing operations, team leadership, and financial performance. The role balances strategic oversight with handson execution, focusing on building a highperforming team and driving operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Oversee all aspects of daily plant operations including receiving, sorting, processing, and outbound logistics Drive throughput, efficiency, and cost optimisation across all operational functions Reduce handling costs and improve turnaround times for inbound and outbound vehicles Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reliability Continuous Improvement Lead structured problemsolving initiatives and promote a culture of continuous improvement Identify and eliminate waste to improve process flow and equipment utilisation Implement operational metrics and KPIs to monitor and improve performance Champion Lean principles and operational discipline across the site Safety & Compliance Promote and enforce a safetyfirst culture across all operations Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and operational standards Lead safety meetings, training initiatives, and incident prevention strategies Financial & Performance Management Manage sitelevel budgets and monitor performance against targets Analyse operational data and drive costsaving initiativesEnsure alignment between operational execution and financial performance Leadership & Team Development Build, lead, and develop a highperforming team of supervisors and frontline employees Drive accountability, engagement, and performance across all levels of the operation Support hiring, training, succession planning, and performance management Foster a collaborative, resultsdriven culture Facility & Stakeholder Management Ensure facility cleanliness, maintenance, and operational readiness Oversee preventive maintenance programs and site inspections Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, customers, and community partners Qualifications Bachelors degree preferred (or equivalent experience) Minimum 7+ years of operations leadership experience in manufacturing, industrial, logistics, or processing environments Proven experience managing large teams in fastpaced, highvolume environments Strong operational and financial acumen with a track record of driving performance Experience in continuous improvement / Lean methodologies strongly preferred Core Competencies Handson leadership style with strong floor presence Ability to make realtime decisions under pressure Datadriven, analytical mindset Strong communication and stakeholder management skills High level of ownership, accountability, and integrity Why This Opportunity Full site leadership role with high visibility and impact Opportunity to drive meaningful environmental and operational outcomes Autonomy to shape processes, culture, and performance Stable, growthoriented organization with strong North American presence Compensation Base salary range: $125,000 $140,000 Bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits package Relocation assistance available for the right candidate #J-18808-Ljbffr
