About the position Canadas Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) system operates at a provincial level, with regulations and program requirements varying across jurisdictions. Successfully managing these distinctions while aligning with national objectives is key to program success. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Ontario Recycling Program Intern to join our Programs team! The Ontario Recycling Program Intern plays a key role in advancing Product Cares Ontario programs by supporting community events, program administration and service delivery for partners. The role will report to Program Manager, Community Partnerships. This is a 16week contract internship position. Responsibilities Partner Support and Administration Research and generate leads for partner recruitment. Support the expansion of Product Care''s PaintShare program by supporting onboarding activities and delivery of assets and resources to communities. Coordinate the mailing of program materials and signage to collection partners in accordance with established timelines and procedures. Update and maintain partner documentation and contact information in CRM database, ensuring information accuracy and timely entry. Update tracking spreadsheets and internal databases ensuring data accuracy, data integrity and timely entry. Follow established policies, procedures and workflows to ensure compliant, consistent and excellent service delivery to Product Care partners. Support special projects, as needed. Attend site visits with staff to learn and enhance partnerships. Community Events Work with third parties to confirm event details and coordinate smooth execution and follow up. Support and coordinate event promotion activities and communication with local communities (Facebook events, posters, etc.). Identify and participate in community events to raise awareness of recycling programs, as needed. Additional responsibilities may be assigned from time to time, based on organizational needs. What you bring The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience, and qualifications: Currently pursuing postsecondary education in business, administration, regulatory affairs, environmental studies or a related field. Techsavvy and quick to adapt to new tools and technologies. Comfortable with proactive outreach, including cold calling and followups, to build and maintain strong relationships. Goaloriented and selfdisciplined, with a proven ability to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets. Ability to follow structured workflows and processes while maintaining attention to detail and accurate documentation. Able to thrive in a fastpaced constantly evolving environment with a complex changing regulatory landscape. Effective communications skills, with the ability to listen, persuade and collaboratively give feedback. Analytical thinking with very good problemsolving and troubleshooting skills. Takes initiative, strong work ethic, can execute and gets things done. Dont have every single qualification?
