Overview In-Person French Tutor at Learning Centre Oxford Learning Lethbridge Lethbridge, Alberta Employment Type: Casual Part Time Pay: $16.00 to $19.00 per hour Responsibilities Teach up to 3 students at a time in a small-group setting Deliver instruction both online and in-person Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies Complete post-lesson notes Provide daily student communication updates Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times Position Requirements Work during after-school and evening hours (4:00pm 8:00pm) and some Saturdays (10:00am 3:00pm) Commitment until the end of the school year preferred; continuing through the summer is a plus Strong background in spoken and written French and English; comfortable teaching up to Grade 9 (Grade 12 preferred) Instruct class sessions in French In-person role; ability to commute to the location; relocation packages are not available Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory Education Bachelors degree or similar certification in a relevant field Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered Teaching certification an asset Good knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 French core curriculum Experience Some experience teaching/tutoring French at a Grade 912 (or equivalent) level Strong English written and oral communication skills Strong French skills and ability to guide students understanding Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time Job Details In-person teaching role Session delivery across multiple levels Filling in post-lesson notes General student progress updates and communications Benefits & Rewards Fun staff events Ongoing training opportunities Frequent check-ins and feedback Company growth opportunities Hands-on development of teaching skills Schedule Evenings Monday to Friday Saturday availability About Oxford Learning Oxford Learning is a Canadian supplemental education provider helping students get better grades since 1984.
