Employee Benefits Onthejob training and professional development opportunities Childcare discounts Opportunities to get involved in our community A competitive total rewards package that may include extended health benefits and paid sick time (eligibility criteria applies) Responsibilities To support women (cis and trans), nonbinary, and genderdiverse persons experiencing homelessness and gendered violence by conducting intake assessment and exit of service in a streamlined and cohesive manner for various services provided within the Housing and GenderBased Violence (GBV) Services department. Additionally, provide external community resource referrals for those outside of service scope. The Intake and Administrative Assistant will also support the management and staff team with oversight and compliance with service data reporting to ensure alignment with program funders. Key Responsibilities Provides administrative / logistical support for intake, assessment and exit supports for service users within Housing and GBV Programs Oversight and administration of targets, data collection/entry and service outcomes in alignment with funder expectations Responds to the requests of potential program participants and ensures that they are streamed into the right programs for services based on their individual needs Works collaboratively with the Administrative Coordinator, Housing and GBV Services to develop appropriate processes and systems to streamline intake and discharge from programs Ensures that there is an updated list of programspecific referral options and service providers in Hamilton for easy referral for those outside of the scope of service Maintains open communication with the Administrative Coordinator, Management team and staff to ensure that program participants are provided with quality comprehensive and holistic services Shares information in a timely manner Maintains appropriate and accurate record keeping in accordance with YWCAs policies and procedures and confidentiality/privacy policies Nurtures and forms meaningful internal and external working relationships and partnerships Maintains high level of confidentiality/privacy when working with client information Participates in mandatory organizational and departmental training and meetings Understands emerging trends, leading practices, industry professional standards Provides recommendations to strengthen existing policies and/or processes Develops and nurtures meaningful internal and external working relationships and partnerships Supports YWCAs mission, vision and values Performs other duties as required Working Conditions Works 37.5 hours per week Qualifications Completion of college diploma in Business Administration, Social Services or a related field or equivalent work experience Minimum of 1-2 years experience in administration and client services preferably with women, nonbinary, genderdiverse people and persons with disabilities Excellent customer service skills required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be able to work from a feminist, antiracist/antioppressive perspective Bilingual English/French or other languages an asset Strong skills using MS Office programs including Excel and Word; as well as program specific data collection and documentation software Ability to maintain a positive and professional approach at all times Must provide a current Vulnerable Sector Police check or willing to obtain at own cost Must have current Standard First Aid and CPR certificate or willing to obtain at own cost Equity and Inclusion As part of YWCA Hamiltons commitment to Access and Equity, we strive to represent the diverse communities that we serve.
