Position Overview Senior Inspector RCSI (Road Construction Senior Inspector). Based in Ontario, this role reports to the Contract Administrator and focuses on completing field and technical inspections for largescale highway construction projects across the province. The position offers a salary range of $60,000 $85,000 annually. Responsibilities Complete field inspections, independently performing a broad range of technical inspections in accordance with established standards and regulations. Inspect methods and materials used by contractors, ensuring conformity with specifications. Assess and analyze compliance with contract documents. Ensure environmental protection measures are installed and functioning. Conduct materials testing, including compaction testing, bag and tag methods, and field surveys to verify dimensions and grade. Accurately record inspection activities in the Field Diary, provide continuous evaluation of construction progress, and report to the Contract Administrator. Oversee junior inspectors and checkers. Qualifications RCIS (Road Construction Senior Inspector) certification with OACETT. Minimum of 3 previous MTO or municipal projects inspecting structures, grade, and/or asphalt (5 of each is an asset) for a field role, or experience as a senior office person on at least one MTO or municipal roadway project. High motivation and resultsoriented focus. Superior organizational and multitasking skills. Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and communication skills (oral and written). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Valid Class G drivers licence and willingness to use a personal vehicle. What You Should Bring Completed postsecondary program, preferably in Civil Engineering. Willingness to travel away from home for extended periods. Enjoyment of writing reports used by clients.
