Description The Undergraduate Nursing Employee (UNE) is an unregulated member of the nursing team, who functions within the broader interdisciplinary health care team to provide patient centered care under the consultation, guidance and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) or other regulated healthcare designate. The UNE is accountable for providing safe nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with their formal nursing education preparation and competency and articulating relevant information related to the clients? health status, selfcare abilities and limitations to the RN or other regulated healthcare designate. This includes conducting holistic nursing assessments to collect comprehensive information on client health status, contributing to the development and modification of the individualized care plans, implementing therapeutic nursing interventions and evaluating the plan of care to achieve desired outcomes.
