Base Pay Range CA$90,000.00/yr - CA$125,000.00/yr About Us OTI Lumionics is developing advanced materials by design using quantum simulations, machine learning, and realworld testing in pilot production. We focus on key enabling materials for OLED displays used in nextgeneration consumer electronics and automotive. Our advanced electrode materials and manufacturing technology are being used to build transparent displays and lighting. We work closely with partners and customers to design materials that are massproduction ready, leveraging our Computational Materials Discovery Platform to rapidly iterate new materials for fast timetomarket. Workplace Type OnSite Primary Responsibilities Develop and validate analytical methods for laboratory analysis of raw materials, inprocess, and finished products using instruments such as NMR, GC, MS, HPLC, UV, IR, TGA, and DSC. Troubleshoot instrumentation issues. Perform and document all analytical test procedures, deviations, and findings in compliance with SOPs. Report all results and deviations encountered during analysis and recommend improvements to procedures. Present data in an organized, accurate fashion (both verbally and in written reports). Mentor and supervise junior analytical chemists. Maintain a safe, organized laboratory environment; ensure compliance with health and safety standards and SOPs. Ensure compliance with environmental policies, procedures, and objectives; actively reduce environmental impacts related to the role. Adhere to health and safety protocols, report hazards, and contribute to a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. Profile MSc or PhD in Chemistry or a related science. Required Skills Good understanding of basic chemistry, including chromatography and spectroscopic technologies. Desirable knowledge of organic chemistry. Strong ability to conduct independent research of chemical literature. Strong project leadership skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data processing programs. Knowledge and understanding of GMP/GLP considered an asset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail. Fast learner, flexible, with strong initiative and a cando spirit. Extended hours and shift work may be required from time to time.
