Job Details Position: Horticultural Therapist Independent Contractor Type: Contractor, 30 hours biweekly Location: 545 Dymott Ave, Milton, ON, L9T 7V6 Expected Start Date: May 1, 2026 Qualifications Enrolled in or completed a degree in Horticultural Therapy or equivalent Completed the required 480 hours of internship Eligible member of the Canadian Horticulture Therapy Association Excited by our objectives, Village philosophy and family values of Schlegel Village Display a caring and respectful attitude toward residents, families, and team members Desired Assets Previous experience working with seniors Knowledge of therapy practices, methods, techniques and opportunities to improve residents wellbeing and holistic health Understanding of the relevant sections of the LongTerm Care Homes Act, 2007 Role Description As a Horticultural Therapist at Schlegel Villages, you will support and embrace our residentcentered social culture, delivering highquality recreational programming. You will work as a key member of multidisciplinary teams, planning gardeningbased activities to foster flexible living and quality of life for residents. In collaboration with the Recreation Team, you will help residents grow physically, emotionally, spiritually, socially, and cognitively, contributing to their holistic health goals.
