Richelieu Hardware is currently seeking a Product Specialist for the Southern Alberta territory. Under the supervision of the Southern Alberta Sales Manager and the Western Region General Manager, the Product Specialist will play a strategic role in the development and growth of the panel products category. The incumbent will be responsible for driving sales performance, expanding the product offering, and supporting both clients and internal teams across the territory. This position requires frequent travel within the assigned territory. Responsibilities Prospect and acquire new clients while maintaining and developing existing accounts Identify, evaluate, and integrate new vendors and products into the portfolio Represent Richelieu at client meetings, trade shows, and industry events Collaborate closely with internal teams including sales, distribution, and operations Develop a strong understanding of product lines, vendors, and inventory Build and maintain technical expertise related to panel products and applications Contribute to the development of a competitive and relevant product offering Support sales representatives through joint customer visits across the territory Monitor market trends and identify business opportunities Requirements High school diploma or college degree in sales, business, or procurement management Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in sales or business development Experience in the wood, panel, or related distribution industry is a strong asset Proven ability to drive sales growth and develop new business opportunities Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand product specifications and applications Proficiency with SalesForce and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Availability for frequent travel within Southern Alberta and occasional out-of-province travel Ideal Candidate Motivated, well presented, and results oriented Strong ability to work as part of a team Well organized, autonomous, and resourceful This position requires being on the road at all time What we offer A Canadian flagship: As a company with proud roots in Quebec but present in Canada and the United States, we enjoy excellent recognition and a great reputation.
