Your Opportunity As a Senior Environmental Engineer or Geoscientist, you will work with our Environmental Site Investigation and Remediation practice in our London, Waterloo, Markham, Mississauga, Hamilton, Ottawa, Thunder Bay or Sudbury offices. In this role you will provide technical expertise on a variety of projects including development and implementation of work programs and management of schedules, budgets and client deliverables. You will work with leadership to support the top line growth of business across a variety of sectors and work collaboratively with Stantecs environmental services team across Canada and North America on various pursuits and projects. Your Key Responsibilities Provide training, guidance and mentorship to junior, intermediate and senior staff on environmental projects and project deliverables. Lead Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) and remediation projects, from proposal development to project completion, including driving deliverables for multi-disciplinary projects. Oversee project budgets and timelines, maintain effective coordination and communication with clients and stakeholders regarding project progress and status. Promote and maintain overall project quality and health and safety requirements and procedures throughout a project''s life cycle. Author and/or review technical reports and prepare client presentations summarizing project work, findings, and recommendations. Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal project staff to develop new opportunities and execute technical work. Demonstrate sound application of established practices, standards and guidelines. Apply technical and business knowledge and methods to develop creative, effective, and economical solutions to address current and potential project issues. Your Capabilities and Credentials A Qualified Person for Environmental Site Assessment (QPESA) A proven history of leading successful projects in the federal and/or infrastructure sectors A robust working knowledge of Ontario Regulations 153/04 and 406/19 and Canadian federal guidelines A strong aptitude for client management Excellent communication skills A strong affinity for teamwork, training and mentoring junior staff Ability to work under little supervision and work well with others to achieve group success Ability to work on several projects or tasks during any given day on a consistent basis Skilled in communication and technical information exchange with clients, engineers and scientists, government regulators and agencies, and academia, as well as non-technical communication to the public Recognized for your elevated level of technical skill and practical ability to solve problems in various settings Application of a variety of methodologies to successfully remediate soil and groundwater Education and Experience Relevant university degree with a minimum of 15 years of related ESA experience. Masters degree is an asset. P.Geo. or P.Eng registration is a requirement for this position. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Pay Range: Locations Outside of Lower Mainland -- BC & Various locations in Ontario - $106,700.00 - $156,700.00 Annually Locations in Lower Mainland -- BC, GTA & Ottawa Ontario - $114,600.00 - $164,600.00 Annually Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
