Data Center Manager Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Data Center Manager to join our Infrastructure Operations team. The role ensures overall availability and reliability of data center operations, leading teams in hardware and network diagnostics with oncall responsibilities. Key Job Responsibilities Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to technicians and operators. Manage performance of a diverse team across multiple locations. Develop and maintain career paths and update internal records. Recruit and train staff to maintain staffing levels. Manage daytoday operations: queue management, shift scheduling, hardware logistics. Ensure metrics and KPIs are measured and met. Drive continuous improvement, technology innovation, and automation. Serve as call leader during outages and escalations. Maintain oncall schedule, coordinate absences and vacation coverage. Collaborate with engineering, capacity planning, and facilities teams. A Day in the Life The day starts with reviewing overnight alerts and ticket queue. By standup, priorities are set and work is assigned. Midmorning focuses on coaching and career development. Afternoons include KPI reviews and crossfunctional calls. When large events occur, the role shifts to call leader, driving fast decisions and communication. Basic Qualifications More than 2 years of experience as an IT operations manager within technologist teams. Indepth experience with Linux systems administration. Experience in networking and best practices in cabling. Indepth expertise in IT architectures and troubleshooting. Indepth knowledge of data center infrastructures. Bilingual in French and English, with ability to read and write in English for complex technical instructions. Must obtain and maintain an active Reliability Status security clearance with the Government of Canada. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a 24/7 environment with oncall rotations. Experience with system management tools and clientserver environments. Experience in project management. Experience in data center operations. Experience in technical writing. 2+ years of project management experience. 2+ years of data center experience. Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
