Plan Administration & Care TeamSpecialist and Associate LevelsTimeline As Christian Education Benefit Solutions Inc. continues to grow our administrative headquarters in Edmonton, AB, we are proactively building a talent reserve of benefits professionals. This posting serves as a continuous recruitment pipeline for upcoming positions anticipated for September and January.We are currently building inventory for three distinct levels of seniority. Qualified applicants will be assessed and aligned with either the Pension or Health operational tracks, with role designation and salary grid placement determined by experience and background.Overview Professionals in the Plan Administration & Care Team serve as primary stewards of the Christian Education Pension and Health Plans. These roles function at the intersection of technical plan administration and ministry support, interpreting complex regulations, carrier contracts, and trust provisions through a lens of compassion and Biblical stewardship. Whether functioning as an Associate, Specialist, or Senior Specialist, the incumbent acts as a critical liaison between participating schools, participants, and plan data, ensuring every interaction reflects the organization's commitment to dignity, accuracy, and care.ResponsibilitiesStewardship of Participant Data & Assets: Oversee the integrity of participant data, premium flows, and contribution processing. Ensure that retirement assets or health coverages are managed with the precision demanded by Biblical financial principles.Pastoral Care in Participant Transitions: Serve as a point of contact for participants navigating life events (retirement, medical leave, disability, termination, or death). Provide empathetic, spiritually grounded support appropriate to the participant's specific context within the Christian education community.Theological & Technical Interpretation: Translate actuarial concepts, legislative updates, or health claims processes into clear, encouraging language. Frame financial security and health provision within the broader context of Gods care.Stakeholder & Consultant Coordination: Manage day-to-day interactions with external actuaries, insurance carriers, and consultants to ensure third-party administration aligns with the organization's ethical guidelines.Conflict Resolution & Advocacy: Resolve escalated inquiries, claims appeals, or data discrepancies with grace, patience, and a commitment to reconciliation. Apply Biblical wisdom to difficult conversations regarding benefits eligibility.Qualifications & Experience Candidates will be evaluated for one of the following tracks based on their professional background:Senior Specialist Level Requirements:5+ years of direct experience in pension administration (DB/DC), health and welfare trust (ELHT) coordination, or complex benefits management.Proven ability to independently manage external vendor relationships, interpret complex actuarial or trust data, and resolve high-level regulatory or claims escalations.Specialist Level Requirements:3+ years of relevant experience in benefits administration, trust coordination, or related financial services.Demonstrated proficiency in independent plan administration, managing standard claims or pension escalations, and providing comprehensive technical guidance to participants.Associate Level Requirements:1+ years of related experience in human resources, financial administration, customer service, or entry-level benefits support.Demonstrated aptitude for learning complex technical systems, maintaining daily data integrity, and a strong foundation in professional, empathetic stakeholder communication.Universal Requirements (All Levels):Demonstrated ability to converse fluently with Christian educators regarding their vocational context. Must possess the spiritual maturity to offer encouragement and support alongside technical advice.Exceptional English language verbal and written communication skills, capable of shifting seamlessly from the tone of a technical regulator to a ministry partner.Completion of a minimum two-year post-secondary program in a relevant field is required.Compensation Final role designation and placement on the organizational salary grid will be determined strictly by the candidate's evaluated experience, technical competencies, and relevant background.Senior Specialist (Grid Level 6)Salary Band: $72,544 - $93,270Specialist (Grid Level 5)Salary Band: $61,662 - $79,280Associate (Grid Level 4)Salary Band: $52,413 - $67,388All positions being recruited for are permanent, full-time positions. Upon successful completion of an initial 90 day probationary period, employees are eligible for participation in the Christian Education Employee Benefits Plans.
