Leading Edge Building Engineers Inc. is a fast-growing and innovative engineering firm seeking a Building Science Project Associate ready to take their experience to the next level. Our firm specalizes in building science and restoration of various types of existing buildings in the private sector. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable hands on engineering experience while receiving ongoing mentorship from leaders in the industry. Responsibilities:Manage building restoration projects from initial design to construction completionConduct site investigations and building condition assessments with guidance from senior staffReview shop drawings and assist with the development of design details based on building science fundamentals and performance criteriaPerform contract administration/construction review responsibilitiesPrepare proposals, reports, and construction documentsParticipate in continuing education opportunitiesPerform other project tasks as requiredQualifications:Degree/Diploma in Architectural/Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or an Architectural Science programMust have previous COOP experience or 1 to 3 years of post-grad experience in building scienceMust have a valid driver's license and personal vehicleMust be able to work at heights on roofs, lifts and swing stagesPreference will be given to those who will work towards their P.Eng. or C.E.T.BSS designation is an assetBasic knowledge and experience in AutoCADStrong communication skills and a positive attitudePassionate to learn and foster creativityCoach and mentor junior staffWe thank all applicants who have applied for this position.
