As a Regional Safety Trainer , you will focus on promoting our strong safety culture across the region by continually monitoring, inspiring, and improving safe behaviors while delivering clear, engaging, and regulation compliant safety training. The Safety Trainer plays a vital role in maintaining a strong safety culture across the region for both our employees and customers. What Youll Be Doing Be the face of our health and safety department by engaging with staff and customers through phone, email, and face-to-face interactions with a professional attitude. Deliver safety training programs to internal team members and external customers. Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety and training records for the region. Ensure all employee training and legislative requirements are met and documented. Develop and deliver engaging, effective training plans and learning materials. Work closely with employees to identify strengths and areas for improvement, tailoring learning plans as needed. Direct structured learning experiences to support skill development and safe work practices. Monitor training effectiveness and provide follow-up coaching or retraining as required. Inventory, maintain, and distribute training aids, manuals, and learning materials. Collaborate seamlessly with your colleagues to create a supportive and efficient work environment. What We''re Looking For Training Experience: At least two years of experience in training role with the ability to develop engaging training plans and facilitate effective learning experiences. Strong Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Public Speaking Skills: Confidence speaking to groups of varying sizes. Safety and Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory safety requirements. Detail Oriented: High attention to detail with strong documentation and organizational skills. Adaptable: Ability to adapt to changing responsibilities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Flexible: Flexibility to support customer and internal schedules, including occasional after-hours training. Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) with familiarity; Experience with Systematics would be an asset. Construction Knowledge: Background in the construction environment with general knowledge of construction equipment and products. Customer Service Oriented: Excellent communication skills and a knack for making customers feel valued. Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team environment. A Self-Starter: With a keen sense of time-management and effective planning skills. Willingness to Travel: Willingness to travel within and around the province as required. G Class Drivers License: Full G Class drivers license with a clean drivers abstract. Experience monitoring training effectiveness and providing follow-up as required.
