Senior Human Factors Specialist Calgary, Canada Responsibilities Develop Human Factors processes and documentation. Support Systems Integration and Safety processes and documentation. Support Systems Delivery processes and documentation. Interact with Design and Construction Technical Leads. Provide support for Safety/ System Assurance/V&V/Requirements Management teams in mass transit, urban rail, and heavy freight signaling and control systems. Provide consultancy services to the rail industry in Human Factors. Support all aspects of Human Factors assignments for clients, including estimating, tendering, planning and execution. Maintain excellent client communication and deliver work on time, to budget and to client satisfaction. Create, manage and maintain effective crossfunctional relationships to promote Human Factors and deliver valuable service to customers. Identify opportunities to develop the Human Factors client and work package base. Supervise junior Human Factors Specialists and review Human Factors deliverables. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Human Factors, psychology, ergonomics, engineering or industrial design. Human Factors professional certification (e.g., CCCPE, BCPE, CIEHF). 15+ years of experience delivering Human Factors work packages in rail, oil and gas or other highhazard regulated industries, with at least 2 years in Railway projects. Experience in planning and applying Human Factors Integration (HFI) and Human Factors processes, standards, requirements and techniques to engineering projects. Knowledge of relevant Canadian and international human factors standards and guidance. Excellent report writing, presentation, interpersonal, communication and clientfacing skills. Evidence of commitment to technical excellence and continued professional development. Additional Requirements Willingness to travel to project sites and vendor locations. Ability to work away from home for short periods of time.
