Status: Permanent Full Time Working Conditions: Hybrid Education Level: 4Year University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field Base Location: Oshawa, ON Shift: Days Travel: 10% Salary Range: $1,704.68 $2,924.93 Per Week Job Overview Ontario Power Generation is seeking a strategic and resultsdriven professional for the role of M365 Administrator (Exchange). This position reports to the Section Head, Microsoft Apps Services and is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of OPGs Microsoft 365 environment, focusing primarily on Exchange Administration while also managing other M365 services such as Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Copilot and Power Platform. Key Accountabilities Manage Exchange Online, including mailbox, distribution group, shared mailbox, mail flow rules, retention policies, spam and malware filtering, and hybrid configurations. Control accounts and permissions in Microsoft 365 and Exchange admin centers, Azure Active Directory, ensuring compliance with policies. Maintain knowledge of Exchange Server versions, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate Exchange and M365 administrative tasks. Provide expert support for Exchange issues and assist users and line management. Support other M365 services (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.) and collaborate with administrators. Implement and monitor security measures for Exchange, including antiphishing, DLP, eDiscovery, retention policies, multifactor authentication. Support organizational compliance initiatives across all M365 services. Use Microsoft 365 admin tools and PowerShell to monitor health, generate reports, and proactively address issues. Monitor system performance and recommend corrective actions. Resolve emergencies, conduct rootcause analysis, and prepare detailed incident reports. Stay current with M365 features and best practices. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Exchange and M365 administration. Provide user assistance concerning production use of systems and products. Document and implement enhancements to meet new user needs. Qualifications 4Year university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field. Over 6 years of experience as an Exchange Administrator. Knowledge of email security, compliance, and hybrid Exchange configurations. Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for Exchange and M365 automation. Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively with other M365 administrators. Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Administrator Associate, MS102) highly desirable. Experience in defining users IT requirements, designing and implementing systems, databases, and related services. Understanding of new and existing information processing concepts, communications equipment, and software. Knowledge of computing equipment, methods, systems analysis, data management, and programming concepts. Awareness of design concepts related to computing equipment and software to provide solutions addressing OPG needs.
