Business Development Manager Compost Biologicals Type: Remote/Hybrid, Full-Time About Our Client Our client is a company operating in the agricultural inputs and soil health space, specializing in science-backed solutions that improve soil and crop performance. They are expanding into the organics market with a new compost enhancement product designed to improve composting efficiency and increase end-product value. This role will play a key part in building and scaling a new commercial market supported by strong technical expertise and long-term growth potential. Key Responsibilities Partner Development & Market Build Identify, engage, and develop relationships with municipal and private compost operators across target regions. Build strong relationships with decision-makers in organics, waste management, and agriculture to establish a partner network. Commercial Development Develop and present commercial proposals aligned with partner needs and market opportunities. Structure, negotiate, and close licensing agreements and long-term partnerships. Supply & Execution Secure humalite offtake agreements aligned with each partnership to ensure consistent supply. Collaborate with internal teams to support successful implementation and early partner success. Growth & Expansion Establish a scalable and repeatable model for partnership development. Support expansion into new regions as the platform grows. Qualifications To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate: Education & Experience 10+ years of commercial experience, ideally within agriculture, waste, industrial, or related sectors. Proven ability to build or expand markets and drive new business growth. Experience managing long and complex sales cycles. Experience bringing a new product or process to first commercial adoption is considered an asset. Post-secondary education in business, agriculture, environmental science, or a related field is an asset. Technical Skills Strong capability in structuring commercial agreements and developing scalable models. Experience selling into operational or industrial environments is preferred. Key Competencies Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders. Effective negotiation skills with a focus on closing deals. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Self-directed with a high level of ownership and accountability.
