Job Description Summary Field Service Representative (FSR) will drive customer satisfaction through Service Excellence and meet the daily service repair needs of clinical equipment ranging from Anesthesia and Monitoring to DCAR. Based in Calgary, AB, this role services hospital and clinic sites within Alberta and supports hospitals/clinics outside Alberta within western Canada. The position requires frequent travel to remote hospitals/clinics and occasional overnight stays, a valid Canadian drivers license, and the ability to travel to the USA for training. Applicants must be legally able to reside, drive, and work in Canada at the time of application. Roles and Responsibilities Provide on-site service for customers installed equipment, including preventative and remedial service, installation, and calibration to factory and customer specifications. Complete all required documentation to meet customer, business, and audit requirements. Provide technical support outside normal business hours and be available for calls if required. Manage repair parts cycle times to meet business targets. Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction. Maintain tools and test equipment, ensuring they are calibrated. Meet Quality Management System and Environment Health and Safety requirements. Use the escalation process to resolve customer service delivery issues and conduct root cause analysis to improve problem solving. Integrate into the hospital culture and work with existing hospital resources to optimize service delivery for equipment covered under Maintenance Service and Strategic Alliance Agreements. Develop an advisory and consultative role with assigned hospitals. Provide full and timely communication with customers, field, and account management teams to ensure efficient service delivery. Required Qualifications Technical Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent experience or training. Minimum of two years postgraduate field service experience. Proven track record of superior customer service skills and effective communication across multiple levels. Demonstrated customer empathy and ability to explain complex technical issues clearly. Strong technical and troubleshooting skills. Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work with a diverse team across multiple functions. Strong independent judgment to support a team. Ability to work independently of direct supervision. Experience responding effectively to customer concerns. Valid Canadian drivers license. Valid Canadian passport for crossborder business travel. Willingness to be available after hours or work a rotating oncall schedule, including weekends, for critical issues and coverage. Special Physical Requirements Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods. Must be able to reach at, above, and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, and have good hand and finger dexterity. Specific vision abilities required include color vision, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Desired Characteristics Previous experience in Life Support Systems and/or Biomedical Equipment service.
