About the PositionReporting to the Project Director, the Project Manager is responsible for the execution of assigned projects and acts as the link between the superintendent, the client, and professionals.As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for:Managing, planning, and coordinating all stages of a construction project in collaboration with the superintendent;Ensuring communication and coordination with the client, professionals, and subcontractors;Reviewing plans and specifications and making recommendations to optimize processes and resources;Negotiating and awarding contracts to suppliers and subcontractors;Establishing and adhering to schedules and ensuring project progress;Conducting site visits and supervising the work of the superintendent and subcontractors;Maintaining rigorous follow-up on ongoing projects;Overseeing the projects financial management;Managing unforeseen issues and contract extras;Following up on deficiency lists;Preparing billing for clients and subcontractors in collaboration with the accounting department.To work with us, you must haveA bachelors degree in engineering or a related field;At least six years of experience as a Project Manager in construction within the commercial, industrial, or institutional sectors;Relevant project management experience in the private sector;Strong ability to read and interpret plans and specifications;Knowledge of the applicable Building Code;Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and standard office tools;Strong oral and written communication skills in English.Working with us comes with plenty of benefitsFour (4) weeks of vacation from the first year;A hybrid work model;A flexible schedule to suit both early birds and late risersA summer schedule to fully enjoy the beautiful summer seasonGroup insurance, with 60% of the premium covered by JCBA bank of sick and personal days to deal with life's little unforeseen eventsOngoing trainingAnd much more!About usJCB is more than a hundred employees in Montreal and Toronto who share a passion for the built environment.
